Kaldor Provincial Feast and Cooking Class

1:00 pm to 7:00 pm (Class and cooking in first half, feast in second)

The Canton of Kaldor is happy to announce a medieval provincial cooking class with recipes from pre 700 A.D. to 1600 A.D.  The focus is on the foods and recipes from the French Provence region during the medieval period with a sampling of the ways they may have been prepared.  The class and handout will cover basic foods available, food storage, seasonal foods, spices and seasonings, cooking methods,& recipes.  Please come and enjoy this delicious feast!   There is a limit of 12 spaces, so please register in advance.

Site: opens at 1pm and closes at 7pm
Pre-registration for class will open August 17th and must be postmarked by September 23rd.  Site fee is $12 and by Pre-Registration only (plus $3 NMS for non-members).  Make Checks Payable to The Barony of Three Mountains.

Directions to site:
From Portland, Take I-405 to Highway 30 West toward St. Helens/ Astoria. Stay on Highway 30 to Scappoose, and travel through town to E Columbia Ave. (There will be signs for the Police Station).  Turn onto E. Columbia Avenue and travel several blocks. Turn left onto West Lane Road. After .25 mi, you will turn right onto Erin Drive.  33844 will be on your right side. SCA signs will be posted.
