Three Mountains Baronial Championship Event 2010 

June 19, 2010 Incipient Canton of KaldorNess ( in the Barony of Three Mountains ) 

St. Helens, OR

Hersir Alfric and Baroness Jill, Their Excellencies Three Mountains, invite all to the Three Mountains Baronial Champions Tournament to be held June 19 in St. Helens, OR. Cheer for our combatants as they take on the challenge of becoming the 2010 Armored Champion, Rapier Champion, Archery Champion, and Youth Champion.

Highlights include:

. CHALLENGERS: All challengers in the tournaments are required to submit a
written letter of intent (or letter like object) to Their Excellencies
during the invocation court. This is often excellent entertainment!

. SPECTATORS DISTRACTIONS: on-site games, group art projects (like our
ongoing fabric tiles), amusements, and volunteering opportunities will be on
hand for those without busy hands.

. FOOD DONATIONS: Challenge yourselves to reduce hunger in our lands with
your donation of nonperishable food to be given to the local Food Banks.

. BBQ: A courtesy snack table at lunchtime (donations of food or funds
appreciated) and an after court BBQ with sides provided by the canton
(bring-your-own main item for the grill) will be provided.

. NEWCOMER "GOODIES" RAFFLE: A newcomer-only raffle will be happening after
the championships (with garb, feast gear, books, fabric, sewing supplies and
gift cards among other items) Tickets are earned through entry and one
ticket given to each newcomer for each hour of volunteer time (seasoned
folks can donate hours too!)

VOLUNTEERS: Always essential and deeply appreciated! If you have time,
please help out, 5 minutes or 5 hours .Items for the newcomer raffle, finger
foods for the lunch table and BBQ sides also appreciated!

Fri Set up--Friday 6 pm-8:30pm 

Sat 8 am---set up and prep 

9:30am gate opens 

10:30 am Invocation Court at Baronial Pavilion 

After court: Armor Inspections for Fighters 

11-3: Youth Championship 

11-3 Rapier, Heavy and Archery/Thrown Weapons Championships
(per Their Excellencies) 

12-1:30 Snack table open 

3:30pm: Erics dropped and Champions Court 

5ish BBQ begins (May be music and dancing as well) 

8:30-9:30 Tear down of non-essential items -9:30-10 site clean
up

10 pm Site closed---Campers (who have arranged camping with
Site Owners) may stay at their own risk--Not SCA

is open 10 am-10 pm. Site is discretely wet, period containers only &
parking space may be limited - carpooling is suggested. Limited non-event
camping will be available for Saturday night.Please contact the Autocrat for

Site fees: $7(+ nonperishable food donations) + $3 NMS Fee for non-members

Directions to Site: Take your best route to Highway 30 driving towards St.
Helens. Turn LEFT on Sykes Road if traveling from the Scappoose side of 30
(Burgerville on the corner) and drive approx. 2 miles. Driveway and SCA
signage will be on the LEFT. 

Championship Info:

YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP: 3 of these 5 are required for the Youth Champion (youth age 8 -17)

1. Strength at arms
2. Precision at the bow
3. Service to AnTir
4. Skill of items wrought by one's own hand
5. Tactics and strategy of a General (games)

All youth participants must state their intent to enter (and be accepted by
the Baronial Coronets) during court at the Three Mountains Championship
Tournament. This should be in the form of a scroll written in his or her own
hand. Please contact the autocrat for complete details on Championships.

ARMORED CHAMPIONSHIP: Bold warriors beneath the gaze of the three mountains, hearken to the clangor of swords! Pit your skill at arms in the contest to become Champion to the Barony of Three Mountains! Witness the valor of your kindred of the sword! Praise each other for your victories and praise those who challenge battle against fighters of renown! 

Their Excellencies Three Mountains once again seek a champion. The tournament to determine that warrior will be fought in a ten round round-robin format, five of the rounds must be fought with one weapon style and the other five with something else. The order of those choosings will at the individual fighter's discretion.
