Marshal Meeting

There will be a Marshal meeting held Friday morning at the war field at 9:30.  It is not required but is recommended.

 

Inspections

  • - All armor and weapons - including combat archery gear must be inspected before participation in any of the battles or tournaments.
  • - Combat arrows must be inspected before being re-used.

Warm up Battle (capture the flag)

  • - Timed battle 30 min
  • - This is a battle designed to allow fighters to participate as they are inspected and also to encourage stragglers to get on the field
  • - Each army is appointed a rez point and banner. Banners may NOT be captured
  • - At the center of the field will be a building each army fights for control over.
  • - At five min intervals the building will be inspected for point value
  • - If one banner is in the building that army is awarded one point. If both banners contest the building no points awarded
  • - At the end of the battle, points are tallied, and the Army with the most points gets first choice of attack/defend and field side all day

 

Open Field Battle

  • - 20 min limited resurrection
  • - Each army is appointed an appropriate rez point
  • - Resurrections occur in ten man waves
  • - Resurrections will be counted (by tens) and the side with the lowest amount of rezed fighters wins

 

Bridge Battle

  • - No resurrections
  • - Timed battle 20 min
  • - Army closest to controlling the center of each bridgespan gets a point for that bridge at the end of battle. Army controlling the most bridges or holding the entire field wins battle.

 

Ravine Battle

  • - Last years children's participation battle was a hit with the populace. Remember this is an audience participation scenario designed to encourage the interaction of children.
  • - No archery or thrown weapons (safety reasons)
  • - The battle will occur along side the drop face at the bottom of the viewing area with a 30-40 foot frontage
  • - Against heavy opponents standard guaging applies with no resurrections
  • - Against rocks thrown by the populace (made from and only from full rolls of toilet paper wrapped in duct tape) fighters must use their discretion in judging effectiveness of blows.
  • - Shields may block projectiles, hafts or weapons may not
  • - Unlimited resurrections to 'rocks' thrown by the populace
  • - Battle will be fought to the last man

 

Castle Battle (timed breakthrough)

  • - Archery and thrown weapons allowed
  • - Defenders have no resurrections, Attackers have unlimited resurrections
  • - Each battle will be timed. Time ends when all defenders in the castle have yielded or been killed. Single combat if requested must move out of the castle immediately and will not count toward the defenders time.
  • - Each side will attack and defend two times each. The order of which will be determined by the winner of the opening battle
  • - The best time of each attacker will be compared
  • - The best time of each defender will be compared

 

Open Field Battle (closing battle)

  • - No resurrections
  • - Final battle to last man Bodyguard (chivalry battle)
  • -Chivalry, Royal Peers, and limited squires battle against unbelted fighters
  • - West and An Tir Chivalry form one side and nbellted form the otherside
  • - Unlimited rez with restrictions
  • - If the King of either kingdom dies then the chivalry of that kingdom loses their resurrections
  • - Nine foot pikes may only be used by knights or masters of combat
  • - unbelted fighters will not be forced to fight on their knees
  • - The unbelted armies will be given banners to represent their kingdom affiliation. If either banner is captured then the fighters from that kingdom lose their resurrections.
  • -This battle may be fought multiple times with variations on engagement rules
