WEAPONS IN FLIGHT!

AUGUST 6th - 8th, 2010

Join us in the country. Camp on soft green grass, observe the ducks on the lake, watch banners flutter in the breeze and hear the sound of arrows coursing through the air as we turn our attention to the honorable and celebrated discipline of archery and thrown weapons.

We will not be requiring registration for the event or classes, however, only registered students will be GUARANTEED a class spot. For those who choose to pre-register, registration must be postmarked by July 31, 2010. **PRE-REGISTRATION is CLOSED**

** UPDATE!! POTLUCK SATURDAY NIGHT **
We have a Potluck at this event every year we do it, and it's always great fun! Please consider joining us for this on Saturday Night..Bring enough for you and to share with 8 others...bring what you like whether it's desert, salad, bread or a main dish.

This teaching event has classes for the Archer, Bowyer and Fletcher, and thrown weapon aficionados. There are also Accademia Core and other unique classes including family friendly Parent/Child classes. Participate in activities such as archery novelty shoots and Royal Rounds! For people new to the SCA, our Gold Key will be onsite with Garb to loan.

But wait there’s more! A fabulous bag raffle. Prizes include: A set of feast gear, fabric, trims, a lace making set up, including a great stand, camping gear and more…. There will also be a Viking Boat Memorial. This has become a valued tradition at Archery Academy. Please feel free to add the names of your friends and loved ones who have crossed over. Small shields will be available to add your friends/loved ones names. This ceremony is not a joke, it is a ceremony of remembrance. Come share it with us.

Children and Youth are encouraged to attend many of the activities listed above. Most of the classes are allowed for children 12 and older, if they are registered they will get full credit.
Parents or legal guardians must accompany children ages 13 and under to the archery range for training with bows and arrows.
