Welcome to the Carnevale di Venezia, hosted by the humble shire of Dragon's Mist!

On the eve of Saturday, April 25th, A.S. XLIII, our shire will be hosting a feast and masked ball in the tradition of the Venetian celebration of Carnevale.

Join us at River House, 4000 SE Rood Bridge Rd., Hillsboro, OR 97123 from 1pm to 10pm as we dance, eat, drink and revel, bringing joy to our corner of the Kingdom.

The menu has been posted on the feast page! Our mouths are watering just thinking about all the delicious food we'll be serving. Check out the feast page for details.

The classes have been fleshed out a bit with times so that guests can better estimate when they want to arrive by. Visit the classes page for more information. These times have been updated (again) to incorporate the wishes of our instructors.

For those who wish to know what dances we will be doing, the dance list has been added to the ball page.

In addition to dinner and dancing, we'll be sponsoring competitions for best Venetian mask and best costume. Bring your finest garb and finish it off with a splendid mask to participate in either contest.

Rapier and heavy fighters, don't worry, we've got you covered. There is paved and grass space right next to the building for everyone to fight, and we'll have marshals for both forms of combat on site.

The fee for this event is $15 for SCA members, $10 for children 6-12, and free entry for children under 6. Non-SCA members must pay the additional $3 surcharge. This cost includes the price of the feast.

Note:
• The site is short by 25 chairs from our cap of 150 people. If you have period seating, we would encourage you to bring it in order to prevent a spontaneous game of musical chairs from erupting.
• Pre-registration for the event ended on April 1st. However, the event is not sold out! If you missed pre-registering, we still have a good number of seats unsold. See the pre-registration page for more information.
