One and all are invited to join the Incipient Canton of Hauksgarðr to celebrate in the grand style and sophistication of a renaissance Venetian masque at our Harvest Masque. Mask yourself and enjoy the day as a member of the court would.
Enjoy Music and Dancing. Show your skill as an artisan in our Most Period Mask Competition (documentation and photos are required). Fighters, show your skills in our heavy weapons prize tourney, sponsored by His Lordship Kerryk Wolfram. Take classes to increase your knowledge of the time period.
The feast is a potluck meal with the meat course and bread provided by the Canton. Feast contributions are by mundane last name A-M side dish and N-Z desert. We ask that all feast contributions are enough to feed your family + 10, please provide an ingredients list to be displayed with your contribution.

HL Slainé Inghean Ui Mhalle for Dancing Instruction
Lord Geoffrey Lessingham for Basic Fencing and explanations of Fencers kit, rules and marshalling,
HL Kerryk Wolfram for a Marshalling workshop for heavy fighters or others who want marshalling or fighting/tourney etiquette instruction.
Lord Kerryk will also be presenting a class on the use of the Favors & Tokens in the SCA and Medieval Times.
HL Sannan Cairngorn will be presenting a Glass Lampworking Demo, an Open Discussion of Venetian Bead styles, and will allow some hands-on instruction to a few members of the class.
Mistress Alainne de Lacy has agreed to join us and teach a class in Basic Gouache Painting so you can follow it up with a class taught by her on Introduction to Renaissance White Vine work which is the Illumination style of the time period of Harvest Masque.
Lady Berte le Webbere from Terra Pomaria is to teach a class on Historic Venetian Masks.
HL Sannan will teach a class on Floriography & the Symbology of Flowers in Medieval Times.
Schedule:
Set up starts at 8 am
Site opens at 10 am
Armor inspection at 10:30 am, the Marshall class is at the same time so that they can go over armor inspection real-time
Tourney starts at 11 am
Most period mask entrees are due between 2 and 3 pm Judging will be at 3 pm
Pick up masks between 3:30 pm and and 4 pm
Site closes at 8 pm
Clean up is between 8 and 9 pm
