As the days grow shorter and the autumnal leaves turn golden and scarlet, it has become apparent that our harvests are abundant this year. Thus, their Excellencies Hersir Alfric and Baroness Jill, invite all to celebrate this bounty at the annual Honor Feast where a great competition will be held to determine the next Champion of the Arts and Sciences.
As the 14th century nears its end our Barony has been graced by the artistic contributions and service of her Ladyship Eleanor de Sackville who after losing her children and husband has devoted countess time and effort to their excellencies, the Barony and our great Kingdom of An Tir. Thus a grand served feast in her honor has been planned for us to show our gratitude. This banquet is the creation of Mistress Leah bat Yehiel, feastocrat and her husband Master Randal FitzAlan the Redowtable as they tempt our palettes with four courses, items such as Rissoles of Fish, Roasted Pork with sauces to choose from, and we will end with Tart de Bry and Pears in syrup. The feast will have a cap of 80 people and will be by pre-registration only. Register by the 1st of October to ensure a space.
Our day will begin with the opening court of their Excellencies Three Mountains who will hear the Letters of Intent for those who will compete for Arts & Sciences champion. Our current champion and Arts & Sciences minister Lord William Mor has prepared a competition where the entrants are asked to bring 3 items, one of which should relate to the Theme "The Art After War: Leisurely Arts For the Winter Months". Single entries are encouraged to participate as well. (Although not for Championship) All entrants must contact William by October 8, 2010 so there is time to locate judges for your entries.
