All vendors/sources listed have been contacted
by SCA members, and I have not heard any negative results back. This
does not mean that I endorse the vendor.

There is a company in called Top Value, in Indiana. That has every
kind of canvas you will want. You will have to purchase by the roll sometimes
it is hard for non business to purchase from large distributors. I did
call and talked to Sheila, she will work with individuals in supplying
canvas. You will have to buy the minimum amount, however, it is about what
we did for a full size tent. They carry up to 18 oz, army duck, as well
as colored canvas. They have water treated material that is call Canvak,
I have used this on a few tents and people seems to like it a lot better.
Ask her to mail you canvas samples and she will be more then glad to do
so. The number is 1-800-428-5006. --contributed by Lady Marguerite

I use a Juki LH 515. It is a double needle,
but doesn't have the walking foot...it would be much better if it did though.
If you are looking for a really good Single needle I recommend the Juki
LU562, or LU 563 (which uses
a much larger bobbin, so you don't have to change
the bobbin nearly as often, it is at least 4 times larger than a standard
bobbin). I have heard that you can get the walking foot version of
the LH 515, but I am not sure
what the designation numbers on that would be.
