This is from
a 13th century manuscript, depicting "The Greek Council of War"
from the history of Troy, Escorial, Royal Monastery, h.I.6, fol. 32v. Note
the multi-tiered roof, the knobs at the side at each band and the eagle
on top. This had to be a fairly large tent to hold so many people. Centerpole
is visible, scalloped lower edge may be due to tent stakes.
